Flower Power: Growing in Harmony with the Wheel of the Year

This is a high-level overview of flower gardening by the seasons.

We will go over essential gardening tasks in each season and one floral design activity for each session.

My frame of reference is the temperate US where we have four distinct seasons, but we will cover hardiness zones and climates so that participants walk away with the knowledge of how to apply these lessons to the specific areas where they garden.

Here's what we'll cover:

Fall (September 21) - Drying flowers for crafting, sowing hardy annuals & fall bulbs, harvest seeds, reflection on the season

Winter (December 21) - Put the garden to bed, make a wreath and/or ornament, garden planning & order seeds, dreaming for the future
